More than a foot of recent snow produced a true powder morning during Jay's first full public weekend, following an unusually snowy November.

Can Am held boot-deep untracked snow with deeper drifts, while the Jet woods had a supportive base beneath the new powder. Lower-mountain coverage remained thinner.

Some anticipated tree terrain, including access toward Timbuktu, remained roped while snowmaking continued.

The skiing was rewarding, but the opening was crowded and disorganized. Pass pickup, the transfer from Tramside to the operating Stateside lifts, and the Bonaventure lift corral all contributed to a hectic start.
